CBH Challenge for April 6th

Spring is in the air and that's what this week's CBH Challenge is all about. I had rubber stamped these flowers on black cardstock a long time ago to do some kind of test... Well that test went by the wayside, so I resurrected it. I colored each flower with ArtQuest watercolor Palette (Interference colors) and cut section of the petals to slip my quote under. The quote (Quietfire Design (Take time to delight) is done on a piece of white cardstock using Versafine Vintage Sepia. I didn't stamp the whole quote, I left of the words "the Season" and wrote in my word "Spring" instead. BIG GRIN. I also colored the edges with Distress stamp pads, in brown tones. I colored the main card which was white cardstock with Pan pastels. It's a gate fold card which means it opens up in the middle. I added a little piece of cardstock on the right hand side to slip part of my quote piece under so the card stays closed. I then rubber stamped the butterfly (also from Quietfire Design) using a Brilliance black stamp pad and Holographic embossing powder (which doesn't show up on the pic). The inside has a stationery green paper with a butterfly on it.
