MC Aug/13 - Quill BFly - May the Wings

At my last quiling session, someone started to make a butterfly using the husking technique... I seem to have an aversion to doing things that way, so decided to make one too, minus the husking... I used a ruler to wrap my quill paper around to get my internal loops, and did a couple free hand loops. As you can see it worked. My mind was set on a monarch because I love those colors, but of course, not being very observant, made my upper wings the wrong shape, so made a fantasy butterfly instead...

Oh! Gorgeous! I usually end up making fantasy butterflies, not knowing exactly how different kinds should be colored, and not wanting to take the time to look them up. No matter, your entire card is beautiful!
