CBH Challenge May 13 Fabric

This week's CBH challenge is to use fabric, be it as a piece of material, a ribbon, a fabric flower or whatever.
I have lots of fabric projects that I've done over the years which would work so well for this challenge, but I said to myself, let's come up with something new. So my mind is buzzing, looking through my mental inventory of art stuff. And I remember I had this oriental stamp which I've never used (which I thought said East meets West) that says East West Harmony done in both English and oriental charcters. Perfect. My mind had already come up with a faux letter skin (primed canvas I inked with pigment brown stamp pads for a leather look) stretched onto a frame (cut out piece of mat board colored with a black zig marker) with 2 ply waxed linen thread. I thought this looked like an American Indian type of artwork (can't remember what they're called). I rubber stamped the oriental word for "dream" with a black stamp pad, but it wasn't black enough for me so I went over it with a Sakura Stardust black gel pen. Then rubber stamped the word "Dream" (a portion of Quietfire Design quote stamp "Dream with your eyes..") and the East West one, using a black stamp pad and Marcasite embossing powder. This was all done on a bright red cardstock, then mounted to a black cardstock.
