TH Grunge & Glass Bead Texture cards

I've been watching and paying along with Tim's Saturday Facebook Live demos. So much fun...

I did a bunch of the Grunge techniques as tags and then set them aside. Finally pulled one out and cut it apart to create the Friends card.

The other card uses Golden's Glass Bead texture paste which I really love. Tim used a regular texture paste, and I have some tags made up of other pastes I used but haven't gotten around to the next steps...

Tim Holtz - Alcohol Ink - Thanks cards

This didn't turn out anything like Tim demo'd... of course I didn't have 91% rubbing alcohol, I didn't feel like using my Yupo, my Lifting off technique just didn't work, but the re-stamping turned out great. It just wasn't my day today but I'm content with the results I did get...

TH - Gradient - Grunge techniques - Multilingual Hello cards

 

I've been watching Tim Holt's Saturday Facebook Live demos and enjoying them thoroughly. BIG GRIN. I decided to play a bit... and then I said to myself, I'm not going to shove these samples into a box or wherever... So I created a bunch of multilingual "Hello" cards. I love the results and these cards will come in handy for an envelope exchange I'm in this year.

MC Nov/18 - Skeleton Leaves - ECD Get Well Soon

MC July/18 - Center Stepper - ECD Hugs - The Only Time - HB

A friend made a stepper card using a Tattered Lace die set and I had to try making one on my own.... PS I HATE TOP FOLD CARDS... they always splay flat and don't stand properly so I added a brace with the bow at the end....
I'm using Paper-Garden.ca gold cardstock - love it.

Suzanne came out with fabulous fonts available on Silhouette and usable in Word, emails and of course with electronic cutters. it's an "otf" monoprint, all caps font, this one called "Alpha Bee"

MC Jan/17 - Easel Heirloom Roses - ECD Because, Special - I Don't Tell You - HB

I finally got inspired to create today... Got a new set of dies from Tim Holtz (Mixed Media 2 - 3pce set) and created the upper border with one of them. Then I'm using a couple of the newest dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Because" and "Special" also available on Quietfire Design HERE and HERE. (they're on pre-order at the moment).

Of course I'm using my favorite roses die from Die-Namics "Heirloom Hybrid Roses", and my favorite decorative paper made with Brushos and Color Burst of watercolor paper.

Tim's Wk 6 - Stencil Techniques - Inpiration - Laugh - Memories tags

 

Absolutely loved the refresher for the stencil techniques. So many good ideas. There are so many techniques out there you keep forgetting so many of them...

This week's challenge was to use 2 or more stencil techniques on one tag or card...

The first tag I created using the Acrylic Dauber monoprint. The 2nd tag I did a monoprint using Distress pads, and for the 3rd tag I used a 2nd generation print from that same Distress pad stencil with lots more water... Then I added various techniques to each tag.

TH 101 - Week 3 - Days 8 & 9 - Acrylic Paint & Perfect Pearls - Butterfly tag

I combined the 2 techniques for this weeks lesson... I'm not enamored of painting my stamps with acrylics, but must admit it gives a nice result. Just have to make sure the stamp gets cleaned immediately...

Love Tim's giant layered butterfly and inking the embossing folder with the acrylic dauber gave a nice result. And the perfect pearls sprayed on in the negative spaces.

Tim Holtz 101 - Challenge Week 2 - Days 4 - 6 - The Hum of Bees

I supposed it would be a good idea it I read the instructions ROFL... Apparently the challenge for Week 1 was only to concentrate on Days 1 & 2 from the class list... so what did I do... all  5 days and day 6 of week 2.

So I have now read the instructions, still laughing... and am only supposed to concentrate on Day 4 - 6 (re-inkers; stains/sprays; markers) for this week's challenge. So today's card is mostly stains.

I recently picked up Tim's large bee with embossing folder - fun.

Tim Holtz 101 - Day 6 - Distress Markers

And another day under my belt... with Distress markers. Admittedly, I have all the colors... but use them mostly for touch ups here and there, not for coloring. I prefer my watercolors to color with. But inking a stamp is definitely easier with markers than mini pads...

I love that bird stamp from Penny Black and use it often.
