Seniors Xmas Cards 2020

 

 

The BVCG usually makes cards for seniors during our annual Xmas party... you guess it - that's shot to smithereens this year... so we were asked to create them at home and then someone would collect them.

I was creating all day yesterday and managed to finish 11 cards - but I wanted an even dozen, so got up this morning and finished the last one. The the rest of the day in photographing and uploading to my website and now my blog. Pheww - I think that was a marathon...

As mentioned previously I came across another Art Deco typeface created by Olga Ryzycneko called "Decolot" which I also fell in love with. So decided to use that typeface to create my words for the 2nd week of the challenge. I also was in a mood to use colored cardstock. I'm using Emerald Creek - Quietfire Design Modern Gilding powder "Kells Gold"

Oct/19 - TopFold Best Wishes - Flourished Frame - Maybe Christmas

 As I mentioned before, I've been making a lot of stuff for cards both at my gals get togethers and while playing...and that's where they ended and in my "one day" pile of stuff. Well I sat down the other day and finished a whole pile of them.

Sept/19 - Side Fold Poinsettia - ECD Dec 25 - What Is Christmas

 

I came across a gorgeously colored green poinsettia and had to imitate it done by Laura Jane using The Ton "Poinsettia Close Up" background stamp released in 2017. You can see her post HERE. Since I didn't have the stamp I hand drew a similar image. Love the linear way of coloring...

This is a card I saw on Quietfire Design "Letters Live" video last Thursday given by Kathy Jo. I loved the way the pages were attached. Something new for me. Aug/19 - Flourished Ornaments Noel & Dec 25 - Merry Christmas Snowflakes

 

I may have mentioned I was enjoying watching the uTube "Ink Splots" episodes from the Zentangle people. Especially the one Maria did in the end HERE. Writing a word and then doodling around it. So I used Suzanne's die words and doodled around them... and I also used my newest 3D cut emboss die.
