CBH Challenge for Sept 2nd

Brown and pink are really nice colors together, and that's what's this week's CBH Challenge theme is all about. I finally had a few minutes (in the middle of the night) to create my challenge piece (or pieces). I made two ATC's. Both with the same images but using different products.

They're both done on a pale pink background. I just got these Inkadinkado clear Rubber stamp set "Asian by Design" at Michael's with my coupon (they are extremely expensive @ Michael's - $16.99, but with the coupon they are a few cents less than regular price ($10.99) at one of my stamp stores, but they didn't have this one sooooo, I broke down and bought it at Michael's). They also brought in about 30 or so sets from Inkadinkado, amazing. They had the flourish halloween one which I recently bought at my stamp store and love. Ok enough about these stamps.
The one on the left, the border stamp is done with Distress Embossing powder (I don't normally like Distress EP, but it worked well with this design), and the one on the right is done with UTEE bronze. The cherry blossom sprig is done with Perfect Medium and colored with Pebbles Pearlescent chalks. The haiku on both are done with a quill nib and FW acrylic ink "Sepia". Each is mounted to a different toned brown cardstock.
Sorry these two ATC's don't connect to my website.

Yogi, I'm so glad you made it so these two could be enlarged. I don't have enough words in my vocabulary to tell you how gorgeous they are. I saw Bronze UTEE for sale at Michaels and started to buy it. They have been out of clear UTEE for a couple of months. Your stamps are so great. But as beautiful as all the stamping and paper are, they don't compare with your beautiful writing.

Gorgeous atcs! I really like pink and brown together, and don't think to use it very often.

And thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.
