Another week's gone by. Boy they seem to slip away faster and faster these days. Anyway, this week's CBH Challenge was to create and Xmas themed tag. Well I just got my order of Quietfire Design Christmas rubber stamps (a full sheet), so I had to at least use one... but I used two.
The tag is on a Heritage red toned cardstock. I rubber stamped the holly leaf pattern on the front using the Glue Essentials pad and composition gold leaf (ps this needs to be a very glue saturated pad, I usually reink my pad for each new session of stamping). I then dry embossed the veins onto each leaf.
The lettering is done with a parallel pen and sumi ink, then shadow outlined with a Sanford Uniball gold gel pen (words: Bookmark me... I'm your friend). I iused my 50% Michael's coupon today and bought a Martha Stewart Checker Board border punch. I think it has a lot of potential and this is one of them. Punched the bottom of the card and then threaded gold thread through each hole and did a fringe border. Used the same gold thread as a hanger and added some gold colored beads.
The back is rubber stamped and gold embossed for most of the words, and white embossed for the word "Snow".
