CBH Challenge for Nov 18th

Another week's gone by. Boy they seem to slip away faster and faster these days. Anyway, this week's CBH Challenge was to create and Xmas themed tag. Well I just got my order of Quietfire Design Christmas rubber stamps (a full sheet), so I had to at least use one... but I used two.

The tag is on a Heritage red toned cardstock. I rubber stamped the holly leaf pattern on the front using the Glue Essentials pad and composition gold leaf (ps this needs to be a very glue saturated pad, I usually reink my pad for each new session of stamping). I then dry embossed the veins onto each leaf.

The lettering is done with a parallel pen and sumi ink, then shadow outlined with a Sanford Uniball gold gel pen (words: Bookmark me... I'm your friend). I iused my 50% Michael's coupon today and bought a Martha Stewart Checker Board border punch
. I think it has a lot of potential and this is one of them. Punched the bottom of the card and then threaded gold thread through each hole and did a fringe border. Used the same gold thread as a hanger and added some gold colored beads.

The back is rubber stamped and gold embossed for most of the words, and white embossed for the word "Snow".
