Day 11 of Tim's tags

Day 11 of Tim's tags: I can't believe I've been keeping pace with these tags, but they've become addictive. I love this tag. That giraffe is a favorite rubber stamp for me. So Tim can use his reindeer, and I'll keep my giraffe... BIG GRIN

Another product I didn't have was the itops personal brad things, so I improvised and used what sewing people use to cover buttons (2 part gadget), removed the prongs and inserted a brad instead (the brad head was inside the closed gadget section with the prongs sticking. Used 100% cotton and for two of the buttons smeared Distress stamp pads on a melt art mat, misted with water and smooshed the fabric into the wet paint. This gave a pastel tone to the fabric. So for the other 2 buttons, I colored the fabric directly with the stamp pad and misted with water, squished the fabric to bleed the colors, then dried it. Gave an interesting contrast with the pastel shaded buttons. Wrote the letters to spell "xmas" with a Sharpie marker.

Found my Grungeboard paper, so stamped my giraffe (The Artful Stamper "African Queen" #CM1397N) on it and embossed with black embossing powder. Colored with Scattered Straw.

For the tag, I smeared Pine Needles onto the mat, misted with water, sprinkled Perfect Pearls "Perfect Copper" onto the wet surface and misted again, to get some of the Pearls mixed in with the color. Pressed the tag into the wet surface and twisted it a few times to get color all over. Used a sponging tool and Pine Needles to add intense color on the edges. Rubber stamped the flourish (Quietfire Design) and embossed with Copper. Rubber stamped the snowflakes and embossed with Winter Wonderland. Wrote in my words with an Identi pen "sending you some", then attached the flowers with the letter brads. Some of the flowers were pink, so colored them either with a Distress Fired Brick pad, or Tombow marker, also added some Stickles Rock Candy or Picket Fence and smeared over the petals for a touch of glitz. Punched out some white florets to add some contrast. The word "Cheer" are Rub On letters which I then outlined and shadowed. Adhered my giraffe and added a green gauze ribbon.

Another great tag Yogi. Interesting way you get around not having the same tool Tim used.
