MC Dec Flourishes - BVCG Noel

Well I continued playing today, using my friend's Cuttlebug Winter Frolic embossing folders that she left for me to play with. The background of the word Noel is done with one of the folders, although the folder is actually a 5 x 7 size... Needless to say, not the size I wanted so played around with it till I came up with what you see.

This card was made for give to my Guild as an Xmas card, so I needed to at lease have a bit of hand writing on it...

Then I heard today when checking Leslie Miller's blog (she makes gorgeous cards), that Flourishes is having another rubber stamp release and challenge with a theme of "Winter White", so the card needed to be mostly white with a touch of color.

Now don't ask me what possessed me to put Chinese Lanterns instead of Xmas Ornaments, but I just had this desire to do that. I'm glad I did, it just has such a nice playful feel to it in contrast with the straight lines and and more conservative design.

This weeks theme over on Created By Hand & Quietfire Creations is "Fearless or the color White"

Anyway, click on card to see details and descriptions etc. Enjoy.

Also fits for these challenges:
Craft Your days Away #9 texture
Crafty Cardmakers #35 White with a splash

Love all that beautiful embossing, especially the way you created the borders for the sentiment panel. I was thinking how cool those ornaments are when I read that they're Chinese lanterns. What a great idea! ps Thank you for the compliment!
