Tim's Felt Tech - Poinsettia Christmas

Well, I hope you're following along with Tim's 12 days of Christmas this year. He's coming up with beautiful tags and lots of inspiration.

One of the things that caught my eye (there were a bunch) was Tim's stamping with a custom stamp pad. Ink up your stamp with a permanent type ink (like Versafine which is what I used), stamp onto a Cut 'n Dry FELT (not foam), keep the stamp in place and draw around your wooden block if you're using or around your unmounted stamp. Remove stamp and cut around your image with Koi or similar type scissors, leaving a slight but equal border all around. Now color your felt with the appropriate colors for your image, starting from lightest color to darkest and staying on the lines of your design. The colors will "wick" out, but won't cross contaminate. When done, reink your stamp with the new stamp pad and stamp onto either cardstock or watercolor paper. You can then either clear emboss your image, or use a waterbrush to move the colors around, or you could have lightly sprayed your stamp prior to stamping - all of which give you very interesting results.

I remember doing this technique when he first came out with it a couple years ago, can't remember what stamp I used or what I did with the felt...

Anyway to see the descriptions for other elements of the card click on image. Enjoy.
