VSN Jan/11 New Year's Resolution

I am just so not in to New Year's resolutions - never have been. Why wait. If you want to change something do it when you first think about it... And then just do it. Sheesh. Sorry!!

Anyway one of the challenges for the January issue of Vamp Stamp News was New Year's resolution. I almost didn't do one... But then I started thinking and had that AHA moment - Tim's notebook embossing folder. Hadn't used it yet and this was the perfect time. I know most people start making lists of what they want to do for their resolutions so I figured write them on this embossed cardstock. And since I'm not in to this, I had a hard time trying to figure out what would be generic enough and still work to make a card I could use (that was the hardest part).

So the first line is "remember my friend's birthday". That was an easy one, and then the rest evolved. The flower is a take on an online friend's (Wanda) flower she made a while ago using Suzanne from Quietfire Design's newest Flourishing Inside Heart stamp. I've been using that stamp a lot lately - love it.

Anyway you can click on card to see the other details and descriptions etc. Enjoy.

Lovely card Yogi, great flower, and I loved all of the other posts too that I have been too busy to comment on. Happy New Year to you and please keep posting your art for us. That would be the only resolution that I could think of for you. I am not making any this year either.

Beautiful card, Yogi! Thanks for sharing all your terrific art and techniques during the year! I'm going to have to do winter greeting cards this year. My December was a disaster! I always enjoy revisiting your cards at Christmas.

Wonderful card, Yogi! very creative, I love how you combined the list with a birthday card! I'm also no good at NY resolutions and try to stay away from them. But, Jan 1 is a good time to start something new, even if it does only last till Jan 2! LOL!
