Altered Shoes - Irricana, Alberta

I was asked by one of my Guild friends to participate in an altered shoe exhibit. This is not something I normally do, but for some reason, YES popped out of my mouth... I'm so happy it did. I had a blast making these two shoes and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I had making them.

Here's the blurb for the exhibit.
It will run the month of Oct in the Grasshopper Gallery in Irricana (20 minutes straight east of Airdrie off hwy 567). It will run in conjunction with Irricana’s Women’s Conference and the gallery’s Halloween Extravaganza on Halloween Night. The gallery is normally open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (as staffing allows).

It is a compilation of women’s or girl’s shoes that have been altered into sculptures or decorative art pieces by several different artists.

The white one was the first one I did, and since I had the other shoe of the pair... why waste it, so made the "Frog Prince" altered shoe. You can click on either shoe to see lots more views and descriptions. Enjoy

It also fits for these challenges:
Dutch Dare  #127 anything but a card
Cupcake Craft  #157 Alter it.
Crafty Ann's Challenge  #38 all white except for image (the white shoe)
