WOYWW Aug 9th #114

Well this is my 2nd WOYWW (that stands for "Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday") post over on the Stamping Ground. Last week someone mentioned liking my "L" shaped desk. Actually it's a "U" shaped desk as you can more readily see from these pics. And when I roll out my Big Shot Pro from under the shelving on the right, it becomes an "O" shaped desk. I did that cut out to fit my Big Shot in that spot a couple weeks ago and am so happy with the arrangement. This is one heavy machine.

I went to a friends house on Monday for a play day with a couple other friends as well. We had a good time and one of my friends wasn't going to be using one of her Cricut cartridges "Paper Lace" which is absolutely a fabulous cartridge, so she's lent it to me and I've been cutting away since then and decorating some, using the negatives and positives, adding glitter etc.. Haven't stopped yet...

I've never bought a cartridge yet, but I'm tempted to buy this one. Now if I could find it for $20 instead of the normal $90 plus I would buy it in an instant, but as good as it is, I won't spend that kind of money on a cartridge. I prefer designing my own stuff anyway and I have no problems with copyrights that way.

PS I've been getting comments asking about the stained glass window in the pic above and yes I designed and made it. I've been a glass artist for over 30 years.

That's an amazing workspace you have and I can now see so much more of it this week. It loos so organised and as though you can reach anything from a push of your wheeled chair. I can imagine you totally encircled in your crafty world!
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comment. I'm really making headway getting my room as I'd like it.

That is one organised workspace!! You are very lucky to have a room dedicated to your crafting. I think the stained glass window is particularly beautiful - did you make it as I see you've got that down in your profile? I was trying to crick my neck to see what was above the red flower line in the first photo, but short of standing on my head, couldn't make it out. You'll have to reveal all next week :) xx

Ilove Cricut, but like you, am averse to the cost of the Carts, so haven't refreshed my collection for at least a couple of years!! I love the U shape arrangement...almost as much as I love that coloured glass window - did you make it?

I love your space - everything nicely to hand! I love the idea of the Cricut, but hate the additional cost of all the cartridges, so we're treating ourselves to a Robo instead. Mr B will get more use out of it than me, cos he's going to use it for all his school notice boards....

oh wow what a fabulous crafty space! (as my daughter tells me) all you need is some baskets and a till and it'll be bigger than most shops near me (which aren't really near me!) Do love that window, the light must be amazing shinning through it! Have a happy (late!) woyww!!

That's an amazing crafty space, more like something you put on rather than sit at, a bit like the helm of the Starship Enterprise, lol! Love how everything is at hand and that window is truly beautiful

great looking crafting area! I love the U shaped desk with everything so close at hand. I have a cricut and use it in spurts and a year ago I decided not to buy anymore cartridges cause 1. they cost too much 2. some of them are so specialized you will only use them once. Love the stained glass. Thanks for sharing. Vickie

Hi Yogi I love your crafting room and I'd love to come and get busy in it! I've just bought a cricut 2 months ago and haven't used it yet as I am waiting for the winter months to get to grips with it. You are so lucky to have friends to craft with all my friends think I'm bonkers!! Thanks for visiting my blog and sharing, love Susan

i completely agree about pricing for tools. I have to balance what i spend on something with how much i will use it and what it can be used for.
Love your glass window too.

thanks for popping over earlier
