I seem to have neglected to upload the BD card I made for a friend. I had made one in the summer, only to find out her BD was in Oct - sigh!! I had told her not to expect another one. But I caved in... and did make a 2nd one. But I also told her not to expect any more BD cards this year. ROFL - made her laugh too.
I stamped the Poppies (Hero Arts) with Versafine Black Onyx, clear embossed, painted with watercolors on white cardstock. Die cut the edge of the card (Spellbinders Labels #17) and hard rubber mallet.
Wrote my words with a Nikko G nib and Sumi ink, when dry shaded with a red colored pencil and then an HB pencil. The small words with a micron pen.
Embossed the poppies a couple times (Stampin Up "Flower Garden"), also with my mallet.

Your painting makes the poppies look so alive. Like the shadowing on the letters also.

Okay... SWOON!!! There's too much to love about this card to even mention, but your work with the mallet, stamp, and die -- incredible! And your lettering is so beautiful. The shadowing really sets it off. So gorgeous! I remember when you made that other card. Well, lucky friend!
This is beautiful! I'm a big fan of Poppies anyway but yours are lovely :)
How very elegant and lovely~! Wow, Yogi!
I love the effect of the clear embossing and watercolor on part of it. Simply stunning!
