MC Feb/12 - Bookmark - Daffodils

So the challenge on the Flourishes blog (#157) is to make a bookmark... I created an origami corner to hook on to my page - fold a square piece of paper in half on both diagonals. Fold in half on 1 horizontal. Push the horizontal line inwards to create point - and then adhered the heart to it. Adhered the under flaps together.

bookmark on my hand bound journal
Lightly traced the shape of my largest heart (Spellbinders Nested Hearts) onto my 110# white cardstock. Stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with Versafine Black Onyx. Stamped the Daffodils (Flourishes "A Year of Flowers 1" set #SS092) also with the black. Placing them both in the heart shape, then die cut it. Sponged some blue around the edges and in the design of the die. Colored the flower in with watercolors. Sponged more blue onto the origami corner before adhering the heart. Left the back of the book mark uncolored.

It also fits for these challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown  #86 use blue
Crafty Creations  #158 Fancy Folds
Crafty Purple Frog  Yellow & Green optional daffodil
Fussy & Fancy  #57 use text that more than 2 words

Gorgeous bookmark - the sentiment is lovely. Thanks for sharing how it is made. I like making bookmarks with the leftovers from cardmaking ... they are easy to slip in with the card and often make a nice wee extra present. Elizabeth x
