Lynn's Class - Acrylic Resist - Bon Voyage
And another made during Lynn's class. Really like the colors and love the use of the tabs. Something I don't normally do, but will start to incorporate that type of element. Love the acrylic resist technique. First came upon this technique in one of Tim's videos, I think for his 12 day tags one year.
We started with a couple pieces of colored maps which we adhered flush, so it looked like one piece. added the salmon toned Bazzill cardstock. Sponged various Distress colors onto the resist piece. I had brought Scattered Straw, Worn Lipstick, Broken China & Gattered Twigs - can you tell what my favorite colors are...BIG GRIN. Then most of the students added a lovely flourish and the paris circle. I decided to use my alphabet stamp set I had brought and stamped the word Bon Voyage instead of the flourish. Attached the tab with black brads. Cut out, layered and pop doted the plane.
The inside was stamped with the hot air balloon. We added the tissue tape and sponged some of our colors and stamped the quotes, then adhered the Honeycomb paper to create the hot air balloon. Nice touch. I've recently used this stuff and it's fun to use for a change.
