Lynn's Class - China Resist - Just 4 You
I took another fabulous class with Lynn Slevinsky and we made 8 cards during the day - whew!! This is one of them. It's a 5 x 8" card.
We used a China Marker as a resist and were asked to draw or doodle on a piece of 140# watercolor paper. I decided to trace some of Tim's "Word Play" letters I had brought with me. We then used a very watered down paint (Ultramarine, and a turquoise color and some gold) and just brush it over the resist without overlapping the colors too much so they stayed pure. Set it aside to dry.
She supplied the die cuts of the Sizzlets Leafy Branch and the Marianne Design Bird Cage and the little punched out flowers, the chip board bird, & the Swiss dotted blue circle. I colored the bird a bit with some paint and then added some Picket Fence Stickles with my finger. Adhered my elements and pop dotted the bird cage and bird. Added the ribbon and attached the panel to the card with the brads. Stamped the sentiment with Perfect Medium and embossed with white embossing powder.
I'm using a tiny sentiment stamp from Quietfire Design
Added the little bird circle embellie.
