MC June/12 - Embossing Alpha - HB

gg designs has an embossing challenge this month and it's taken me this long to finally sit down and do one... Lots of things getting in the way, one of which was I just didn't feel like making a card. I've been playing with my new Memory Box dies and my ton of new landscape type images from Beeswax, logging them into my database etc etc. Then I got the notion of making a binder of my dies by category instead of by brand name. So there went the time. BIG GRIN. I did have fun, because I also colored the die cut images, not only cut them out, thermal embossed a few and just playing.

So enough rambling. I absolutely love using water color crayons on embossing folders and in this case used Faber Castell Gelatos. Love the "Artsy" look to the embossing. The background almost became the focal point, although that bow sure decided to take up center stage. ROFL. Anyway, to see more details and descriptions, just click on card image and enjoy

someone asked me what embossing folder I used and realized I hadn't put the name on my web page... it's  Cuttlebug "Typeset" #2000204

And it fits for these challenges:
gg designs  June/12 dry embossing
Crafty Catz Weekly  #136 Embossing
Scrap Creations  Celebrate
Crafty Creations  #174 Use a charm
Aud Sentiment  #56 any sentiment for a kids birthday
Mark's Finest Paper  #112 anything Vintage (reminds me of the old printing blocks)

Wonderful card and particularly the watercoloured background. That is a great embossing folder -- do you know the manufacturer? Thanks!
