MC June/12 - Jumbo Peony - Amen

Top Fold 7"w x 5"h (black bkgr'd is not part of card)
Well if anyone has been checking out the latest releases from Spellbinders, you might recognize what I've done here... One of the newest dies will be a polka dotted frame set, so I thought I'd create my own version, little help from my photo editing program, little help with my electronic cutter and a 1/4" hole punch.

I started this card with another idea completely, but as things go, it just didn't work out that way, and then there's a challenge on Tuesday Alchemy that calls for using one or all of the color combo (Yellow, Lime & Plum), so used all of them BIG GRIN. It's raining here in Calgary, again, so I needed something bright and fun...

The flower stamp is from Stampendous "Jumbo Peony", love their jumbo stamps. I colored it with Prisma colored pencils. The background is colored with Pan Pastels, masking off the appropriate areas with a thin piece of cardstock.

The quote and sentiment (Quietfire Design) was stamped with Versafine Black Onyx. This was a really quick and easy card.

And it fits for these challenges:
Tuesday Alchemy  color combo Yellow, Lime, Plum
Old Back Porch  #25 Card a week

Love your idea for the polka dot frame! This is one to file away for future use, for certain. Beautiful flower and altogether lovely card!
