MC July/12 - Cardinal Noel
Then I wanted to put him on some pine boughs/branches etc (I think Old Island Rubber Stamps) , so decided to make some silhouette images so I could cut them with my electronic cutter and then be able to place them anyway I wanted. Colored the stamp image with Distress Markers, misted lightly with water and stamped onto my cut out pieces. Touched the images with a water brush to cover a couple of the white spots and blend a bit.
My card is a side folded 5"w x 7"h and the embossing folder (Sizzix "Snowflake") I wanted to use was a 4x6 and the snowflake fell in the wrong area... so I just cut my folder apart and taped it closed on the opposite side, embossed the area I wanted through my machine, moved the design over a bit and used my rubber mallet to finish the embossing. Repeated the process for the bottom section. Then used my Scor-It board and did a few more embossed lines.
Stamped my word sentiment (Quietfire Design) with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. adhered my cut out stamped elements. Voila!!
