MC July/12 - Oriental Roses

Our quilling group is getting together again this Wednesday and we'll be playing with rose dies... I haven't liked the roses I've made in the past, they're usually too stiff and stand too high, so are only good for had delivering, which i don't do. Everything goes in the mail... So decided to try again, this time I used Chiyogami paper and it was reasonably better. Still not my favorite way to make roses or flowers.

Then one of the challenges calls for using the colors of your flag - mine is Canada and is Red & White.

Anyway to see more details and descriptions, just click on card image and enjoy.

I'm using a quote stamp from Quietfire Design

And it fits for these challenges:
Crafty Card Makers  #71 Make your own flowers
Incy Wincy Designs  #153 colors of your country
Stamp with Sarah Kay  #171 Lots of flowers
Do You Stack Up  #79 red as dominant color plus neutrals
Crazy 4 Challenges  #144 Colors of your flag

The roses are beautiful. Love the subtle color variations. Very natural looking. The image and embossed background are ideal in combination with the roses, too.
