MC Oct/12 - Bubbles - Boo TofY

OK so I'm a little anal, and created another card for the gg designs October challenge.... and I FINALLY found my gelatos. Sheesh. It's been a couple weeks that I've been looking for them, but in moving my art room from upstairs to my living room, I misplaced them. So I finally opened every drawer I had downstairs, and positively established they weren't there, so knew they had to be somewhere in the mess upstairs... So finally moved everything and found them in a drawer I stuffed them in. Unbelievable!!!!

I love using my Gelatos with embossing folders, the color catches on the sides of crevices, and then when misted, bleeds into the design when run through the embossing machine. Soooo I figured I could do a similar effect with one of my newest stamps from Impression Obsession "Bubbles" cover a card stamp. And although it didn't give me the results I expected (didn't bleed the way I wanted), I like the results anyway.

So I ran the Gelatos over the stamp using some of the oranges and purples, some were a bit pearlescent, some were plain, and then touched some of the edges with the black, misted with water generously, but not sopping, and stamped onto white 110# cardstock. Trimmed it down to size and edged it with the bullet tip of a black Zig Writer. Wrapped my wide orange ribbon around it. Twisted the narrow orange and purple ribbon and adhered it to the back as well. Adhered this layer to the card front which is white cardstock (5"w x 6"h) , sponged with Distress Spiced Marmalade around the edges.

Stamped the Sentiments, both from Quietfire Design, with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

Stamped the flowers (gg designs) with Versafine Imperial Purple on a separate piece of white cardstock, embossed with Tanzanite (a purple) embossing powder, cut it out, then sponged the Marmalade all over it, adding an amber rhinestone to the centers. Adhered the bigger ones with Best Ever Glue, and adhered the smaller one with some 3D adhesive squares. Adhered the purple hemp cord stems with Glossy Accents.

And it fits for these challenges:
