MC Oct/12 - Quill Ornaments - Season's Greetings

Hope you commented on my Quietfire Blog hop post (click on this link) to win some rubber... you have 8 chances to win something. This is the last day and you have until midnight to comment on each blog. Good luck...

And I got the 2nd part of the newest Xmas  from Quietfire Design. I'm using the Season's Greetings sentiment stamp. So pretty.

And I had a good day at my quilling session this week. One of the ladies made an ornament that was so pretty and classic. Black and silver. Made mine with some decorated mauve/purple quill papers I made using my Pasta machine on the Linguini setting. When the ornament was assembled, I put some glue on the surface and sprinkled with Ritz Glitter "Stardust". Threaded a mauve narrow ribbon through the hole and tied a bow.

The main card is white (5"w x 6.5"h), side folded. I used my rubber mallet to emboss both designs. The top portion is my newest acquisition... (Crafts Too "Decorations") embossing folder. I didn't emboss the largest ornament on the design or some chain hanging from another ornament.

The bottom embossing was done with a Cuttlebug "Distressed Snow", but again, since the design fell in the wrong place, I cut another of my embossing folders apart, re-attached it on the other end and then placed it where I wanted it. It seems, before I know it, all my embossing folders are going to be split... sheesh.

Stamped the sentiment with Versafine "Smoky Grey" and embossed with silver embossing powder..

Like the extra dimensional interest of the paper quilling.

I love quilling but I have to say the black background on your site is very difficult on my eyes. Causes so much strain to see.
