MC Nov/12 Leaves - Trees Are

One of the challenges is to use silhouette images... I wasn't in the mood to color them which is what I usually do with them, so decided to use them to remove color using water. Love the ghost like images it leaves.

I sprayed my white cardstock with Dylusions Lemon Zest, then Fresh Lime, a bit of London Blue and a touch of Black. Added a touch of water just to get some areas moving more. Lightly tapped a paper towel to the wettest spots - didn't want to remove the intensity... then dried.

Lay my 4 silhouette leaves (Flourishes "Falling Leaves") onto an acrylic block, misted with water and stamped, holding the stamp in place for a count of 10 seconds, lifting, allowing the water to work it's magic for a couple seconds, blotting with a clean paper towel and drying. Repeating the process several times till I had enough leaves on my background. Used a black Zig Writer and outlined parts of the images to give a shadow effect.

Stamped one of the leaves with Versafine Toffee and embossed with Queen's Gold. Stamped my sentiment (Quietfire Design) with the Toffee and embossed with an off white embossing powder.

Trimmed my piece down and ran the edges into the Toffee stamp pad and embossed them with the gold. Adhered it to the front of a Kraft card 4.25"w x 5.5"h

Tied some twine on the left side.
