MC Nov/12 - Xmas Stocking - I'm Telling You

click on image to see larger version

After seeing some Xmas Stocking dies, especially the one by Dee's Distictively, I wanted to make a card using a stocking. Don't have the die - sigh!!, so drew my own image and cut with my electronic cutter. Waaay cheaper...

I sponged Distress Seedless Preserves all over it, then ran through my machine with the Cuttlebug "Musical Flourishes" embossing folder, sanded the high points. For the top section, sponged Scattered Straw, embossed with Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" and sanded. Adhered various colors of Epoxy circular stickers., For the pom pom, twisted some fringe yarn with my bead roller and then put it into a dab of glue and held it in place till it set.

Embossed the card front with Spellbinders M-Bossibilites bricks and sponged with some Distress Aged Mahogany. Embossed the lower section with Cuttlebug Checkerboard folder and sponged Walnut Stain and some Scattered Straw and adhered to card front.

Stamped my quote (Quietfire Design) on black cardstock using Versafine Toffee and embossed with white embossing powder. (rubbed the whole piece of black cardstock with an anti static pad). Used a circle template to draw my arch and then cut straight down from that. Adhered to card front.

Cut a thin strip of cardstock, sponged some of the brown, ran through my machine with the Spellbinders "Bark" folder then sponged more brown on the high points. Adhered mantle to card front, then adhered my stocking.

Die cut various pine leaf branches from green decorated cardstock. Cut the branches apart, sponged a bit more green and brown and adhered to mantle. Die cut some jingle bells (Memory Box) from gold glitter sticker paper, cut them apart and adhered them to the center of the foliage.

And it fits for these challenges:
