MC Mar/13 - Quilled U - HB

Another good quilling session this past Wednesday. I went in there in a kind of slump... Had no idea what I wanted to do. Started doodling letters on my pad of paper and this U spoke to me... I love doing "U's", you can add so many other things to it. And in this case a birthday card for a special person - who that is, I'm not sure yet. ROFL

This is one of those rare times I adhered my outline quill paper directly to my card instead of wrapping it around a cut out form. I really like the results. I edged the papers with a contrasting marker using my slotted gadget.

I kept the card simple (4.25"w x 5.5"h), just adding the sentiment stamps (Quietfire Design) and a faux stitched border done with a black gel pen and with the aid of a Spellbinder's Die cut "Wonky Rectangles Reversed"

Click on card image to see a larger version. Enjoy

And it fits for these challenges:
Simplicity by Late Blossom  OLW#130 CAS with sentiment in the center.
Pennys Challenges  #117  stitching
Moving Along with the Times  Something about nature/spring
Old Back Porch   #62 Card a week
Crafty Catz Weekly  #173 Stitching
Fussy n Fancy  #84 Flowers
