MC March/13 - Quill Easel - Live in the Moment

I got this newest background stamp from Penny Black - actually got a few... but this one called out to me to use first. And then I got the newest batch of calligraphy stamps from Quietfire Design and new they would go together beautifully.

I also picked up some gorgeous cardstock that I'm totally in love with. Ruche by WorldWin. It's got such a nice texture. So of course I had to use it...

My card when closed is 7"w x 5"h and opens as an easel card.

I stamped the background (Penny Black "Glory of Modesty") with Perfect Medium and clear embossed. Colored the flowers with Derwent watercolour pencils and blended with a waterbrush filled with Iridescent medium and h2ยบ. Ironed of the embossing between clean sheets of newsprint. Die cut with Spellbinders "Matting Basics"=  love these dies... Die cut the center hole, stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with Versafine Black Onyx on white cardstock and clear embossed. Adhered it to the back of my background. Die cut the green frame. The author's name didn't fit so I just stamped it separately and adhered it underneath. Added a couple pale green rhinestones. Aldso added small half pearls to the enters of the flowers.

Adhered the Ruche cardstock to my front and base of card. Then adhered my background piece and my quilled elements. The flowers have a bit of Glitter Ritz "Copper" in their centers. Wrote my sentiment with a pointed pen, then die cut the layers and adhered to card.

And it fits for these challenges:
