Dreamweaver June challenge blog. Thank you Lynell. Absolutely love this stencil. I was raised in Montreal and maple leaves are dear to my heart. Living in Calgary, there are very few maple leaves - sigh!! I miss them, especially in the fall when they have these glorious colors.
I digress... This is another CAS type card. I positioned my stencil to fit within my 4.25"w x 5.5"h white card, putting some post it notes around the exposed edges. Sponged Distress "Peeled Paint" and then a touch of "Pine Needles". Left the stencil in place and stamped with a background text stamp using Versafine "Smoky Grey". Removed the stencils and kinda dry brushed the background using the sponge and "Tumbled Glass"
Stamped my sentiment (Quietfire Design) with "Black Onyx" and clear embossed.
Added a black Peel Off line around the perimeter.
Found a suitable butterfly (Memory Box "Vivenne") cut from gold cardstock in my stash and colored the body with the black, clear embossed and adhered to card.
