MC Aug/13 - Xmas Cards

MC Aug/13 - Scenic Labels - Blessed is the Season
I was on a roll... 3 more Xmas cards for my stash - This is kinda a long post. all the cards are 4.25"w x 5.5"h white cardstock. Click on any image to enlarge. Enjoy

Since I had this Spellbinders Labels die cut (both the negative and positive) on my desk, decided to use them.
I placed the smaller die cut opening (as a stencil) and stamped the Xmas Scene (Flourishes "Snow Wonderful") using Versafine "Vintage Sepia". Removed the stencil and put the same size die cut as a mask and sponged around the card with Distress "Antique Linen", "Old Paper" and some "Frayed Burlap".

Keeping the mask in place, placed the larger die cut opening (as a stencil) and sponged some more of the Burlap in the border. Pounced some Perfect Medium and embossed with Stampendous "Stamp n Bond" embossing powder. Heated to activate and sprinkled Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter "Warm Highlights", pressed the glitter into the sticky surface, brushed off the excess and lightly reheated to bond everything. Love the coloring that happened, almost golden. Added some White Puff Paint on the roofs and heat activated.

Stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with the Sepia.

MC Aug/13 - Pines - Warm Winter Wishes
As a final touch used my rubber mallet to selectively emboss around the card to add more texture.

The 2nd card uses 2 of Tim's embossing folders "Tall Pines" and "Rays"
I embossed the card with the pines, then used my mallet to selectively emboss the rays. Sponged Distress "Mustard Seed", then some red from a dirty sponge for the rays. Sponged with a dirty green sponge and then added some "Pine Needles" on the trees.
Stamped the saying (Quietfire Design) using Versafine Black Onyx and pressed down really hard to get in the crevices of the embossing. This was a really quick and easy card.

MC Aug/13 - CAS Baubles - Peace On Earth
The 3rd card makes me so happy - it's fun...
I used a Dreamweaver stencil "LJ900" and the normal white embossing paste. I also used the large applicator "LM2010" which helps so much in getting the paste all over where you want it and not as much under the stencil because you're applying even downward pressure to the stencil as you're applying the paste. I allowed it to dry naturally, then placed the stencil back over the design and colored the baubles with Distress Markers in various fun colors. Removed the stencil and applied Glossy Accents on all the baubles. Love the look.

Stamped the sentiment (Quietfire Design) - minus the Flourished Xmas tree that's part of the stamp - sorry Suzanne...  using the Black.

a really Clean and Simple card.
