MC Oct/13 - Holly Branch - Xmas cards

3 more cards from yesterday's batch of 8 cards...

The Holly branch is from my newest rubber stamp set by Sheena Douglas. I stamped it to create a silhouette image and then cut several with my electronic cutter, inked up the stamp and stamped on to the cut pieces with Versafine "Toffee" and embossed with "Queen's Gold" embossing powder.

Each card uses the same newest Xmas sentiment stamp by Quietfire Design either stamped with the black or the Toffee and either clear embossed or embossed with the gold.

And even though they basically use the same image and sentiment, each are totally different...

Each card is side folded white cardstock either 5.5"w x 4.25"h or the portrait mode of these dimensions.

Card 1 uses Tim's Stripes stencil, Distress Fired Brick as the background. The holly branch was colored with Inktense watercolor pencils and a water brush. The berries are put on with a Viva Red Pearl Pen and Rangers white Enamel Accents put on for highlights.

Card 2 uses a Holly Vine embossing folder on the front, high points hit with a dirty green sponge. Next 2 layers are Spellbinders "Resplendent Rectangles" die set. First layer brushed on with Dreaming Color Silks "Emperor's Gold" paint. Next layer is just light application of Tinted Pan Pastels. Metallic thick thread is wrapped around the layer and tied in a bow with a light green button center. The Holly branch was colored with Pan Pastels. The berries are the same as above, but this time I waited for the red to dry before applying the white. The layers were adhered with 3D foam tape.

Card 3 I went with classic colors. Used the Holly vine embossing folder, hit the high points on the edge lightly with a yellow dirty sponge. adhered the holly branch and added Viva "Holo Iridescent" berries. Another quick and easy card.
