MC Oct/13 - Pine Border Merry Xmas

I was inspired by the Memory Box Pine Border die and decided to make one of my own... Created a drawn image, scanned it, manipulated it and then cut it with my electronic cutter. Colored it while still on my mat using Distress "Pine Needles" & "Walnut Stain". Removed it from my mat and then applied Versamark and embossed with Distress "Shabby Shutters" & "Walnut Stain". Heat embossed, let cool, removed the extra crystals, then sponged more Pine Needles all over.

Sided folded my white card (5-5"w x 4.25"h). Cut a piece of beige Ruche cardstock leaving about a 1/8" border all around. Wrapped a piece of thick red/gold thread around several times, adhering it to the back, then adhered it to my card front. Adhered my Pine border.

Wrote out the Xmas words with the bullet tip of a Zig Writer, scanned it and cut with my electronic cutter from 110# white cardstock. Removed it from the mat and colored with Distress "Festive Berry". Put a coat of Distress emboss and then applied Stick n Bond, heat activated and sprinkled Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter "Regal Red" all over.

Cut a shadow of the words, applied and activated the stick n bond, sprinkled with Warm Highlights, then adhered both elements together with Glossy Accents. and then onto the card with white glue.

As a final touch added Viva "Holo Iridescent" Glitter Liner to parts of the pine border and a red rhinestone to the bow.

On the inside I stamped the pine branch with Distress green and brown and clear embossed. Stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with the brown and clear embossed.

I'm content with the card. BIG GRIN
