many times and it's a fun way to create a background. It's been a while like most things... so decided to make one again.

Scanned the back of it (which is white) and then imported it into my electronic software to cut a shadow of the design which I inked with the blue. Layered the two together and adhered it to a side folded cream toned card which I adhered a greenish toned Bazzill monochromatic cardstock edge to edge.
I used the same cutting technique to get the rectangular shape for the sentiment, then scanned and cut with my electronic cutter for the shadow piece.
Stamped the scenery (Beeswax) and bird (Old Island) using Versafine Black Onyx. For the bird I stamped it also onto a separate piece of cardstock, colored it with Perfect Pearls and cut out the body area, adhering that to my card because I wanted the head to land on my popped up sentiment piece.
as a final touch I knotted some twine and adhered it under the popped sentiment.
This will more than likely go for my cousin whose in to fishing, canoeing etc every year with the guys... ROFL.
And it fits for these challenges:
Brown Sugar Challenge #75 ribbon or twine
Anything goes:
Trimmies Craft Challenge #240

I've done this before, too. You always use the prettiest colors and make wonderful technique-oriented creations. This one is very serene in the blues and greens. Nice with the image.
