MC Jan/14 - eCut Heart Flourish - Missing You & XOXO

ID: MC Jan/14 - eCut Flourish heart - XOXO
I got my newest Quietfire Design Valentine stamps a couple days ago... and this is the first chance I've had to play with them. Love them and I've also used one of the newest eCut design that Suzanne put on the Silhouette Online store. Love it too BIG GRIN. I think I'll be sending a few Valentine's cards this year...

Both these cards use the Heart Flourish Calligraphy eCut file. And the valentine's rubber can be found: XOXO Calligraphic Love Bits set & Missing You This Heart Longing set

For the XOXO card, I created a stencil of calligraphed monoline words done within a rectangle, then cut out with my electronic cutter from .007 Graffix clear plastic. (words: Love U More; Be Mine; Happy Valentine's Day; Forever; My heart Belongs to U; friendship; Hugs Kisses & More Hugs.)

I side folded my white card 4.5"w x 7.5"h. Sponged distress "Festive Berry" through the stencil and embossed with Pearlescent embossing powder. Put the stencil back in place slightly off set and sponged with "Walnut Stain" and clear embossed.
eCut the heart from white cardstock, direct to paper with the red and clear embossed. Adhered to card and then used Tim's tiny attacher and stapled it here and there.

Stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx on white cardstock and just hand cut around the design, adhered to card.

I decided it needed something more... So stamped the flowers (Hero Arts "Luscious Frames") on my newest acquisition - Drafting Vellum (love the feel of this stuff...) using Versamark and embossing with white embossing powder, then hand cut around the flowers, used a large balled stylus to give it a bit of shape and adhered to card using hot glue gun. As a final touch added the dots in the center of the flowers using a Viva Glitter Liner "Holo Iridescent".

For the next card I was more in a romantic mood... I side folded my white card 4.25"w x 5.5"h. Sponged a bit of the "Festive Berry" on the right hand edge. Punched out the lace border from another piece of white cardstock and adhered over the red edge. Then adhered a piece of white Ruche cardstock to the center of the card front and finished of the left side with another new item the beaded lace ribbon adhered with my glue gun.

eCut the heart flourish from white cardstock, sponged heavily with the red, and embossed with Tsukineko "Sparkle" embossing powder (something else new...). adhered to card and added some white pearl flourishes.

Another new acquisition, a pack of Lutradur in 2 weights. I pulled out a thin sheet and cut with my eCutter in one of the rose spiral shapes. Colored it after it was cut with Distress Stains "Festive Berry" and dabbed with some of the "Picket Fence" then smooshed the wetness a bit. Dried it  Used a bead making tool to coil the flower and my hot glue gun to adhere the base, both to create the flower and then to adhere to the card. I really liked working with the Lutradur, not as stiff as cardstock.

Stamped the sentiment with the black.

Oh my what beauties. The first card has such an intricately cut background and those white on white flowers are gorgeous, and the second is just so romantic looking. I treated myself to some Lutradur just before Christmas but haven't broken it out of it's packaging yet! I must follow your example because those flowers are fabulous.
