MC Jan/14 - Scenic Timeless Britain Collection - Juts a note/Because - Thinking of You

ID: MC Jan/14 Scenic Blackwater - Just Because
I'm using a few more of my newest acquisitions BIG GRIN. Picked up these 3 stamps from Art-Kure "Timeless Britain Collection" and was itching to use them. Then I also picked up this movers & shapers die from Tim's collection "Fancy Frame" which turned out to be a perfect size for the scenic stamps...

Side folded each of my cards (5.5"w x 4.25"h) from 110# white cardstock.

The sentiment stamps are from Quietfire Design

So die cut them, stamped the scenes using Versafine Black Onyx and colored with Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils and a very small pointed brush.

I wanted a border layer for under these die cuts, so scanned one of them and cut them out a bit bigger with my electronic cutter.

For the card above I layered a piece of dark blue Ruche cardstock leaving a border all around. Adhered my 3 layers of die cuts - the middle layer is sponged with Distress "Chipped Sapphire". I was in a mood for an anchor so found an image and cut with my electronic cutter, direct to paper with Distress "Pumice Stone" clear embossed, then with a layer of "Black Soot". Wiped off the black from the embossed areas with a damp paper towel. Knotted a piece of blue twine and threaded it through the hole and wrapped it around the anchor. Adhered to card and then used my glue gun to adhere the knot and ends.

Stamped the sentiment with the black, clear embossed and die cut with Spellbinders "Curved Rectangles B A2" set (another of my new acquisitions), putting it back in the die to cut it shorter. Adhered to card with 3D foam tape.

For the card at right, I layered my colored image to a 2nd layer. The background is a dirty paper towel adhered to my card front using Golden's Polymer Medium.

I adhered a piece of ribbon and then knotted thick twine and adhered that using my glue gun.

Stamped the sentiment with the black, die cut with the Spellbinders set and adhered it to card with 3D foam tape.

ID: MC Jan/14 - Scenic Portland Bill - T of You
For this last card I used Tim's Movers & Shapers die "Vintage Cabinet Card" die with a folded piece of white cardstock. I thin put the front part back in the die, slightly off set and re-cut that section only.

Sponged Distress "Salty Ocean" around the inside edges.

Stamped the scene with the black and colored with the w/c pencils.

Stamped the sentiment with the black as well.

On all 3 cards added the birds with a Zig Writer.
