MC June/14 - OLC_Oriental - Sing HB

I came across this challenge (Marie's Tombow challenge) today and thought I'd create something for it.

I side folded my cream toned cardstock (5"w x 7"h).

eCut the frame piece (Quietfire Design on the Silhouette Online Store) and used it as a mask, sponging Distress "Spiced Marmalade" then some "Shabby Shutters". Used an HB pencil to shadow outline the design and a paper stump to smudge the pencil. Then went in with a 6B pencil in the corners and smudged some more.

Lay my cut pieces down to stamp the bamboo sections (Scroll Works "Bamboo") using Versafine "Vintage Sepia" and hitting here and there with "Black Soot", then embossing with Distress "Walnut Stain", then rubbing the embossing.

Stamped the bird and the word sing (both Quietfire Design) with the black. Stamped the Sakura flowers (Bo Bunny "Serenity") with Distress "Picked Raspberry" and clear embossed, then put a drop of Viva Glitter Liner "Holo Iridescent" in the centers of each flower.

Created the leaf design while at work (BIG GRIN...) then scanned when I got home and eCut. Colored with Tombows while on my mat, then removed them from the mat, hit it with a Versamark pad and clear embossed. Adhered to card. Added the pearl ovals.

On the inside I stamped the rest of the "Sing" quote and the "Happy Birthday" with the black. Repeatedly stamped the Sakura flower with the raspberry and clear embossed.

Click on images to enlarge. Enjoy

Yes! Not only is this a great card, but it is so clever how you played with the stamps. Sing Happy Birthday as if no one is listening! Awesome!
