MC June/14 - Tri Split Jalopy - What You Leave HB card

I was in a slump yesterday so just read my book all day... Finished it this morning. Then checking my database of challenges realized there were a ton calling for a guy card... and I hadn't made this structure in a while. This card evolved from that. I'm using a lot of stamps I haven't used before... I've made my uncle a card a while ago, but might change my mind and give him this one.

I cut my paper to 10"h x 7"w. Cut slits at 1.5" & at 5.5" starting 1" from the top edge and stopping 1" from the bottom edge. Then did my score lines. on the middle wide piece I scored at the 5" only. On the two side pieces, starting at the front edge, scored at 1", 2" & 5".

Stamped the Rocky Ground (Beeswax) on the front lip using Versafine Black Onyx. Stamped the Rock/Tall Grass (Beeswax) on the right panel with the black. Stamped Tall Boulders (Beeswax) on a separate piece of cardstock with the black and fussy cut around it. Stamped the Flying Bird Scene (Stamping Ground) also with the black and fussy cut around it. Sponged Distress "Tumbled Glass" all over the sky areas. Adhered the bird scene and the tall boulders to the left panel.

Colored my elements with Prisma colored pencils

Stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with the black and clear embossed. Stamped the birthday with the black.

And it fits for these challenges:

I think your uncle would love this card, for the sentiment alone, let alone all the beautiful stamping and coloring you did - it works beautifully together. Apparently taking the time to read did you a lot of creative good because you came up with a winner. Thanks for playing with us at Opus Gluei!
