MC July/14 - Quilled Sari Roses - Let the Beauty - HB

You've probably gathered by now, I LOVE SARI RIBBON... In the past Ive made quite a few quilled roses and have never been really satisfied with the results - re the stiffness of the papers. So I'm looking at the bunch of Sari ribbons I have on my other table and said let's try making one with them. It took a little finessing... but I'm quite happy with the results. Will see if I can make even bigger ones. BIG GRIN.

So I side folded my white card (4.25"w x 5.5"h). layered a piece of orange toned cardstock leaving a scant 1/16" border all around. Adhered the vertical piece of ivory Ruche cardstock (from my stash).

Adhered some foliage (Marianne Designs) which I salvaged from my stash...

I used "Marmalade" Sari ribbon for the flowers, using a glue gun to adhere the layers and the flower on to the card.

Wrote in the word "roses" using a pointed pen and Sumi ink.

Stamped the other sentiments (Quietfire Design) using Versafine Black Onyx.

Final touch added 4 pink square rhinestones in the corners and the flourish pearls on the leaves.

On the inside stamped the rose border with the black and colored with Prisma colored pencils.

Stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) also using the Black and clear embossing.
