MC July/14 - Xmas Ornament cards

And again there are quite a few Xmas challenges... so here are a couple more for my stash.

I side folded both cards (4.25"w x 5.5"h) from white cardstock. On the card above, used Distress acrylic daubers "Barn Door" and colored some white cardstock, then ran through my embossing machine using Sizzix "Xmas Vine" embossing folder. Hit the high points with Versafine "Toffee" pad and embossed with Queen's Gold. Trimmed down to fit card leaving a 1/8" border all around.

For the card below, I embossed the front with Sizzix "Holiday Print" embossing folder.

Cut some piney type branches from white cardstock, colored with Distress acrylic daubers in various greens, dried then hit with a Distress pad "Pine Needles". For the card below, touched here and there with Deco art "Snow Writer", and puffed it up with a heat gun. Added specks of glue with a Quickie glue pen and sprinkled with "Star Dust" glitter.

The ornament is something I saw and then made my own version, eCutting with my electronic cutter. For the card above, made the ornament section as a solid piece. Colored the leaves with Distress markers, then used a Quickie glue pen and Ritz micro fine glitter. Added black glitter to the hanger and curly vine. Used the holiday print folder and my hard rubber mallet to emboss the ornament, then hit the high points with the Toffee and embossed with the gold. Adhered to card front adding three red rhinestones.

The ornament on the card below, the leaves were colored with the Distress markers, hit with Versamark pad and embossed with Distress embossing powder. Hanger and curly vines colored with a black marker. Rim of ornament hit with the Toffee pad and embossed with the gold. A circle was cut using the shape of the ornament as a guide. Painted with the red dauber, adhered to ornament, then filled with Glossy Accents and lightly sprinkled with Stickles "Star Dust" glitter. When dry, adhered to card.

Stamped the word "Christmas" on scrap piece of white cardstock, trimmed down adding a picot edge, touched edges with a red pad. On the card below, stamped onto the front with the black.

Inside of card uses more of the piney type branches and quotes stamped with the black.

Love the simple ornaments and how you created the background on the first card. All that embossing is right up my alley, but I don't get very creative with it. These are fabulous!
