MC Aug/14 - ConeFlower - With Sympathy
One of my friend's father past away this weekend so I thought I'd make a card for her using the newest eCut designs from Quietfire Design available on the Silhouette OnLine store HERE.
Love coneflowers... OK I love most flowers BIG GRIN...
I side folded my dark green textured cardstock (6"w x 5"h). Rounded the corners with a jumbo corner rounder.
Stamped Stampin Up "Hello, Doily" using Versamark and embossed with Pearlescent embossing powder.
eCut the coneflower and the calligraphed word from white cardstock. Sponged some brown on the head area of the flower, then applied a bunch of glue and adhered Flower Soft in "Earth" & "Autumn". Sponged some Distress "Mustard Seed" all over the petals and then hit it here and there with a dirty red sponge. Used a brown colored pencil to add definition to the petals. Sponged green on the stem. Adhered the flower head.
Sponged the word with the yellow and the red, then adhered it to a white shadow layer. Adhered the eCut elements.
On the inside Stamped the sympathy sentiment (Quietfire Design) with the Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. Stamped the coneflowers (Flourishes "Gratitude") with Versafine Black Onyx and colored with Prisma colored pencils.
