MC Aug/14 - Xmas Tree Stencil - Peace on Earth

So another Xmas card bites the dust... and one that couldn't be simpler...

I side folded my white card (4.25"w x 5.5"h).

Cut some tall skinny type triangles in a piece of cardstock to create a stencil to represent my Xmas trees. Sponged Distress "Shabby Shutters" all over the trees through the stencil. Heat set the ink. Then stamped the "Fa La La..." portion of the Xmas quote stamp using repeatedly Versafine "Olympian Green" and embossed with Linda's Stamp Gang "Oak Leaf Olive" embossing powder. Added 3 red rhinestones on the tree tops.

Stamped the word part of the "Peace on Earth" using Versafine Black Onyx.

On the inside stamped the whole quote with the green and embossed with the olive. Stamped the holly leaves with the black and colored with Prisma colored pencils. Drew in my line border with a Zig Writer.

So simple and yet so very effective. I love the idea of stencils and stamping through with the words. Thanks for stopping by and sharing this with us at Sentimental Sundays x
