MC June/15 - Red & White - Origami Bow - Celebrate

Canada Day is coming up soon and our colors are red and white...

I side folded my deep red textured cardstock (5"w x 7"h). Cut a piece of white cardstock approx 1/8" narrow on all sides, then ran through my embossing machine with Cuttlebug Anna Griffin's "Rosa" embossing folder. Adhered to card front.

Had a scrap piece of red, so cut a picot edged flag and added a top layer of plain white. Adhered to card front.

eCut the "Celebrate" from white cardstock, while on the mat colored with Distress "Festive Berry" direct to paper. Removed from mat and clear embossed. Adhered to card front.

I was reminded on Facebook about an origami bow (BabeBaMa) that I used to make eons ago, so made another one. My brain definitely needed refreshing... I used white copy paper at 6"sq and colored one side with "Worn Lipstick", again direct to paper. Added a large red square rhinestone. You can see a tutorial I made HERE

On the inside stamped the "Jumbo Tulip" (Stampendous) inking with the berry and some green, misting with water and stamping. dried and colored with Prisma colored pencils.

Stamped the quotes ("Twirl & Enjoy" 3pce set) using Versafine Black onyx and clear embossed.

The quotes are from Quietfire Design
