MC May/16 - Easel Quill Vortex - How Old Would You Be - HB

Another good quilling day this week and was playing with creating vortex coiled flowers. I think they turned out OK, may need a bit more practice... After watching the you tube video from Quilled Creations using their new comb tool, I decided to make the leaf sprigs using a dog grooming comb I bought last year. Worked well.

And one of the challenges called for anything but square or rectangular, which got me thinking about the Stitched Oval die set I have from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I'm using a quote ("How Old Would You Be...") and sentiment stamp ("Happy Birthday Plain and Simple" 7pce set) from Quietfire Design

Click on any image to see all the details and descriptions. Enjoy

And it fits for these challenges:
MMM Challenge  #239  in the garden
Sisterhood of Crafters  #56 shaped card
Art Impressions Stamps  #185 5+ layers
Craft Ribbons Challenge  #153 Flowers
Moving Along With the Times  #21 age related sentiment
Alphabet Challenge  G for girlie
JW Scrap Shack  #140 anything goes
Polka Doodle Challenge  #21 birthday
QKR Stampede  #193 birthday

Oh, how pretty those leaves and flowers are! Very fresh colors. I especially love the round-ish flowers. They remind me of ranunculus. Nice easel with the oval shape.
