MC Aug/16 - Faux Lace - ECD Thanks

I'm loving doing this faux lace technique and especially after figuring out an easier way to do it. BIG GRIN
Haven't done anything on the inside yet. Will wait until I need to give it to someone and put the appropriate saying  there...

I'm using an A Way With Words die "Thanks" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I side folded my 5.5"w x 4.25"h white card. Embossed the front using Elizabeth Craft Designs "Flower Mosaic" embossing folder. Sponged all around using Distress "Brushed Corduroy" and then "Tea Dye".

I created the faux lace, placing my tape on my craft sheet, moving the tape around to create holes and lacy areas using a very pointy balled stylus, then pressed my white cardstock over the tape, lifting it from my craft sheet. Sprinkled with some gold and copper glitter and some Stampendous "Crystal Snow". Burnished.

The frame around the lace is from my stash - alcohol technique on glossy paper and then die cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs "Fitted Frames 1 - Lace Rectangles" set, using the negative portion.

Adhered a piece of Gold/Gold Sari ribbon on the diagonal lower right corner. Adhered the frame assembly, then the bow on top.

Die cut the "Thanks" twice. Inking with Versafine "Vintage Sepia" and embossing with Emerald Creek Era Powders "Charred Gold' embossing powder. Adhered it off set to the 2nd layer which was colored with a dark brown marker, then onto the card.

And it fits for these challenges:
