MC Sept/16 - Alcohol Birch Tree Scene - ECD Peace - Joyeux Noel

Well I had a wonderful day with the gals yesterday showing them how to do the various alcohol techniques I've been uploading for the past week. BIG GRIN. And of course I ended up making a bunch more backgrounds and things... Only the sky background on this card was done in the demo. I had the idea to do a birch tree background and forgot to do it... so when I got home created one right away - my brain doesn't hold my memory very long anymore. Sigh!!

I'm using an A Way With Words die "Peace" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm also using a Silhouette file from Suzanne "Winter Wonderland" and a sentiment stamp from Quietfire Design "International Merry Christmas" 6pce set

Side folded my white card (4.25"w x 5.5"h)

eCut the deer ("Winter Wonderland") from white cardstock and colored with Distress pads in "Antique Linen all over and a touch of "Walnut Stain" on the hoofs and antlers. eCut a blackout layer and adhered the two together.

The sky is a marbling technique using "Snow Cap" alcohol ink and several other colors with a touch of blending solution on a craft sheet, then the paper is smooshed through the inks a few times.

The birch trees: Applied "Teakwood", "Pitch Black" alcohol ink and some blending solution to my felt applicator and pounced. The die cut using Sizzix Thinlits "Birch Tree" die. Adhered the deer under some of the trees prior to adhering to the sky background and trimmed down, then onto the card front.

On the inside, stamped the tree line (Just For Fun) using Versafine Black Onyx. eCut a smaller deer and colored as above, then adhered to inside.

Stamped the sentiment with the black and clear embossed.

Sponged the sky area with some "Salty Ocean"

Your alcohol birch trees look very much like birch trees! You're so good about getting your cards made up. Beautiful deer, and I absolutely love those trees inside.
