I LOVE the grey piece. Done only with graphite pencils. I'm so looking forward to the class at the end of the month with Ann Purdy from our Guild. We're going to learn a whole bunch of pencil techniques to create glorious letters. BIG GRIN. For this one I'm mimicking a piece that Ann did. She must take hours doing hers because I could see all the little pencil lines for shading rather than my using a paper stump to create my shadows...
The piece below is just swirls of various yellows to create the background.
