I finished my BVCG Galleria piece for Sept. I'm happy with it although it doesn't have enough watercolor in it to suit me. That's what the theme was, to use watercolor in some way shape or form.
My background was done with Pan Pastels and then a watercolor pencil was stroked across the paper and moved around a bit with a water brush. But I love the weaving. I did the original calligraphy on the orangey red background and then used my computer to generate a negative color print of it on the same type paper and then wove it together. I printed out the text so I could copy it onto a piece of Shrink plastic and that would give me a legible text. Click on image for details.
