CBH Challenge for Oct 7th

I've been busy this past week getting price tags and lists made of items I'll be taking to our Guild's show and sale on November 1st. Only a couple weeks left and still so much to do. Plus next weekend I have a two day calligraphy workshop with Georgia Angelopoulos. And then the following week a mini Quilling class - roses and leaves. So busy, busy...
This week's CBH Challenge was to use a template designed by Wanda, one of Quietfire's Design Team members. There were two house templates, one more traditional and one more with an Asian flare to it. I chose the Asian one.Trimmed it a bit so I could have a border around it of the underneath cardstock which is a heavily embossed green cardstock. I used my Ranger's resist stamp pad and one of the Inkadinkado clear rubber stamp sets (Asian Influecnces) on glossy cardstock and then sponged the Distress inks all over, then misted and lay my glossy paper face down on the moisture. Over stamped with the Bamboo stamp and used Versafine stamp pad. Rubber stamped the Asian lady onto regular cardstock and colored it in with Pan Pastels, then highlighted areas with Sakura Metallic gel pens and moved the color around with some water. Cut around the image and adhered it to my ATC. Cut out the reduced sized house shape from a piece of ivory opaque shrink plastic and rubber stamped my quote (Quietfire Design "Home is the Heart..") with Olive green Staz On. Shrunk it and attached it with a heart brad.
