ATC Monday

This week's theme over at Think Monday Think ATC is to use the color Orange. Well as I mentioned in my previous post, the glossy paper I had didn't work so well. So next I put some Color Box pigment inks on a clean sponging tool (Marigold, Orange, Scarlet) and smeared it across my paper in horizontal stripes. Took a piece of paper towel and rubbed and rubbed and rubbed, in a circular motion. It removed some of the inks and gave it a nice finish. Rubber stamped the bare tree branches with the birds using Versafine Black Onyx and embossing with Detail Black. Mounted it to a black cardstock. Wrote my words "Dawn's early light" with a black micron pen.

The 2nd ATC I smeared Kaleidacolor Rainbow pad (Desert Heat) on my melt art mat, along with some Distress pads (Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade), sprayed with water and smeared my glossy paper through it. Dried well. Rubber stamped the lizard (Local King Rubber Southwest Lizards set #08LI001) with Perfect Medium and brushed on Perfect Pearls (Kiwi, Green Patina & Pewter). Rubber stamped the words on the branch (part of same set) and the word "Friend" (Quietfire Design) with Versafine Black Onyx. Mounted this to a black cardstock.

Beautiful Yogi. I really like Dawn's early light, especially when I'm sitting out on the patio having morning coffee and watching the sun come up. One of my favorite warm weather pastimes.
