MC June/12 - Crayon Art

MCJune12_CrayonArt_MeltDown_HowOld
What a couple of productive days I've had. One day spent with a friend play with crayons, melting them using various techniques. Loving them and what I saw in them and then the next day transforming them into the cards below...

On each of them I'm using either a quote or sentiment stamp from  Quietfire Design

If you want more information about techniques, stamps used more views etc. then please click on card image and enjoy.

This first one was done with the same technique I used for my original card, melting the crayons and letting them drip down naturally. You can see the first card HERE.

This card fits for these challenges:
Crafts & Me Challenge   #90 Birthdays
Crafty Creations  #176 Embellish It
Fab n Funky  #127 Cute & Girlie
Moving Along with the Times  #155 Birthday
Trimmies Crafts  #161 Feathers or birds
Crafty Ann's Challenge  #68 memories are made of this (fits for all 4 cards as a memory of a lovely play day)
Crafty Catz Challenge   #138 add some metal (the nailheads)
Mark's Finest Papers  #114 metal (the nailheads)

This second card on the left was a surprise and am using the backside of the results. I love the whimsy of the design and the fun colors.

And it fits for these challenges:
Incy Wincy Designs  #152 Anything Goes
Lil Red Wagon  #139 words as main focus

MCJune12_CrayonArt_Rocky_WhatYouLeave

The third card on the right suggested a rocky mountainous scene on the edge of a desert - forlorn, peaceful, vast and I got to use my latest scenic stamps from Beewswax Rubber. Not sure who I would ever give this card too, but I like the results. The rest of the quote is on the inside flap.

And it fits for these challenges:
Cutie Stampers  #129  use new stamps
Everybody Art Challenge  #199 monochomatic browns
Do You Stack Up  #78 blue skies and clouds

And the fourth card is precious. As soon as I turned the paper over and saw the results, I saw butterfly shapes flying off the page. It had a really delicate design to it too. Loved the colors, so tried to keep it as simple as possible.

And this last card fits for these challenges:
Craft Your Passion  #116 Things with wings
Digi Doodle Shops Best  #114 purple & pink
Old Back Porch  #26 Card a Week
